Phosphate and phosphoric acid solutions for environmental restoration and remediation.

ICL phosphates and phosphoric acid play a significant role in the restoration of environmental sites contaminated with heavy metals because they form insoluble complexes with the metal ions typically found in contaminated soils. The reaction resulting in insoluble species occurs over a wide range of pH values and conditions.

Once complexed, the metal ions are effectively immobilized and cannot leach out beyond the treated soil. It is often possible to reclassify the soil for disposal at a regular landfill, reducing the added cost of disposal at a hazardous landfill. Heavy metal contaminants that can be immobilized in this way include lead, strontium, zinc, cadmium, iron, chromium and selenium. The use of this technology has been successful in Superfund sites and various industry sites, including metal mining, waste, ammunition, scrap metal, paint, and battery industries.

Tricalcium Phosphate Flow control agent, anti-corrosion pigment, ceramic system filler. Functional addtive for some formulations for sensitive teeth.
